Interior Design Dublin
The challenge for Hogan Interior Design Ireland was to completely renovate a 3 storey house in Dublin into a comfortable home.
The Dublin house had for years been used as a rental property and the client wished to transform it from a tired, basic rental accommodation to a Designer Dublin Home.
A complete renovation and design was required to modernise the house, including changes within the kitchen, which entailed painting units, changing handles and fixings and installing a new light arrangement to provide a good working light in the space and create ambience. The main bathroom also required some serious attention including changing the flooring and again introducing a more effective lighting system. To finish, as this was to be mainly used as guest bathroom, wallpaper was introduced to some of the walls, which were further accessorised with prints.
More aesthetic work was completed in the hall stairs and landing, which included changing the carpets, lighting, adding accented dramatic wallpaper and mirrors to create an illusion of space. The living room required a new fireplace, but the walls and flooring were in a good condition and the work carried out in the room included adding wallpaper for warmth and introducing new furniture; sofas, chairs, side tables, lamps and rug. Similar to the lounge, the dining room was in a good condition and require minimal attention, including introducing a new wall colour, lighting system and dining room furniture.
The Main bedroom as well as requiring a new flooring, lighting system and furniture was finished with complimentary curtains, bedding and accessories. Whereas bedroom 2, which was to become a child’s room needed new flooring, bed, wardrobes and toy store area, lighting and lamps as well as curtains and bed linen. Finally bedroom 3 was to be transformed into a working office / study and demanded a new flooring, carpet, appropriate lighting, furniture and storage.
Taking approximately two months to complete this Interior Design Project in Dublin, Irish Interior Designers Hogan Interior Designs was solely responsible for project managing the entire renovation.
